What the warranty covers in detail

High-voltage hybrid battery

NiMH or lithium-ion pack, modules, BMS and housing. The costliest component of a hybrid after the manufacturer warranty.

Electric motor & generator

M/G1 and M/G2 motor-generators, rotor, stator and position sensors used for traction and recharge.

Inverter / DC-DC converter

Conversion between the HV battery and the 12 V network, plus control of the electric motor.

e-CVT & hybrid transmission

Planetary gear, e-CVT transmission and decoupling clutch specific to hybrid architectures.

Charge & regeneration system

Brake regeneration, charge module and energy-flow management.

Battery thermal management

Dedicated pack cooling, pump, exchanger and thermostatic valve to preserve lifespan.

Full combustion mechanics

The gas engine remains covered like any vehicle: timing, turbo, head, cooling.

Hybrid electronics

Hybrid ECU, high-voltage sensors and CAN network dedicated to the hybrid powertrain.

Good to know

Hybrids double the risks: combustion-engine wear AND high-voltage component degradation. An adapted warranty protects both, with no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

Does a hybrid combine two warranties?

In a way. The extended warranty covers both the classic combustion group and hybrid-specific components (HV battery, inverter, e-CVT), where a classic contract would only cover the engine.

When does the hybrid battery fail?

Often between 8 and 12 years, depending on use. A hybrid pack replacement generally costs between $3,000 and $6,000.

Is brake regeneration covered?

Regeneration system components (module, converter, sensors) are covered in case of failure.

Is my used hybrid eligible?

Yes, vehicles 2018 and newer, after VIN verification and hybrid pack condition at sign-up.
